Jack’s life drastically changed when he was nine. Living a life that is not his own, living as a slave to his stepfather to fulfill a promise to his mother.
River grew up with evil. With her father gone she vows to right his wrongs and save those living their lives as slaves.
This story is different from your usual slave/master reads. River doesn’t believe in love after all that she has seen in her paste. Jack doesn’t even know what love is. When these two come together it sets a path to healing for both of them.
"This is the part I love most," I whisper. "You never make me feel like I'm just a f***. You make me feel like I'm a man." I press a kiss beneath her eyes as tears sneak out. "You make me feel loved and wanted."
This is a combination of dark, romance, and healing. You will feel for all of the characters that have been saved. Even though they have been saved from evil they have to deal with the trauma it has caused them. As you watch each one of them gain strength and courage you will be cheering them on and wishing them all the happiness and love they deserve.
Even though this deals with a touch and dark matter it is a beautifully written story with strong characters that will reel you in from page one.

Jack, my baby. This character made my heart bleed.
Although he’s been a sex slave since the age of nine, Jack is still innocent in so many ways. All he’s known his entire life is slavery.
Jack’s life changes dramatically when River buys him.
Both Jack and River are recovering from their pasts. River is trying to make up for all the wrong her own father done, and Jack is learning how to live.
Watching Jack grow was very emotional. He is a fighter and he’s taught me a lot.
Jack will stay with me for a long time, because of his innocence and strength.
