Synopsis
Perfect ass.
Perfect arms.
Perfect swagger.
They call Dash Wallace the Diamond King.
He’s the hottest commodity in baseball and in the bedroom.
When he runs the bases, every woman’s eyes are glued to his stunning body and a smile that puts the night lights to shame.
I’m no queen. I’m a regular girl with a regular job. I just watch him on TV and from the bleachers, season after season.
Girls like me grab a guy like that one in a million times.
My number just came up, and he is as spectacular in bed as he is on the field.
But there’s not a woman in the world who can distract Dash Wallace from the game. Not for a moment. Not even me.
Until the night I do. And everything changes.

Meet Dash Wallace
Review
5 STARS
CD Reiss understands baseball. The routines, the superstitions, the struggles to balance personal life with baseball life and how to maintain the physical demands that an athlete must endure to stay competitive. Baseball is a romantic sport. The men are attentive, demanding and very focused. The same is true with the women they love. CD Reiss captures all that make the men of baseball so attractive. She gives you enough insight into the life of baseball without being boring to the those who know it or too confusing to those who don't.
Dash Wallace is the epitome of baseball and sex. He's a player both in his personal life and professional life. He does not know failure and knows that his daily routine is what makes him the best at what he does. He makes sure the women he is with are left satisfied in whatever city he is playing.
Vivian Foster is a elementary school librarian who is compassionate, loving and tender with her students. Her step father loves her as his own and raises her after her mother's death when Vivian was younger. She is still blaming herself for the breakup with Carl because she feels she held him back and caused his lack of ambition and laziness to stay on the couch or even find a job.
I enjoyed the little things that Dash does for Vivian. Fruit baskets for her students, helping with the rain gutters and worrying about her tires. The sweetest moment is touching the bases. It takes everything for Vivian to resist Dash and Dash just wants a fling until he leaves for Arizona for spring training. Can Dash and Vivian find balance in a world where routines can not be interrupted or changed? Can Vivian trust that Dash will need her beyond baseball? Will Dash's new lucky charm last forever?
Hard Ball is a true baseball romance full of the quirks the players believe in to perform an outstanding game.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
About the Author:
CD Reiss is a USA Today bestseller. She still has to chop wood and carry water, which was buried in the fine print. Her lawyer is working it out with God but in the meantime, if you call and she doesn't pick up she's at the well hauling buckets.
Born in New York City, she moved to Hollywood, California to get her master's degree in screenwriting from USC. In case you want to know, that went nowhere but it did give her a big enough ego to write novels.
She's frequently referred to as the Shakespeare of Smut which is flattering but hasn't ever gotten her out of chopping that cord of wood.
If you meet her in person, you should call her Christine.
