This is the second part to the book This is War, Baby and picks up almost immediately where that book leaves off.
The prologue is from Brandon's point of view and it is clear he has become undone over the kidnapping of Bailey. He's become obsessed with finding both her and Grant and exacting his revenge on taking what belonged to him.
Bailey, who is not only traumatized by witnessing the shooting of the man she loves, now has made another shocking realization.... She is pregnant with War's child. Now clinging to the only source of hope she has left, she needs to figure out how to survive and escape Grant. Unknown to her, Brandon has found Grant's cabin and is on his way to save her.
War wakes up from his shooting and is immediately thrown into his disorder. He needs to pull himself out of his own mind to save Bailey. He teams up with the police to find out where Bailey is and what happened all those months ago when she was first taken.
This book was almost too much for me. Too many povs. Too many twists and turns. Too many wtf moments. Poor Bailey goes through so much in this book and it's really sad that every man in her life (with the exception of War) has failed her or screwed her over in some way. The ending was a little open ended for me, I like finality and I didn't get it with this book. It's definitely a must read if you read War, but hold on to your hats because it's for sure a wild ride!
