Curve balls. Many curve balls.

Carleigh or Carl Stanger, daughter to a wall street wiz and blissfully happy with life and being secretly in love with one of her beat friends. When things turn for the good for her it isn't long before it is all shattered and she is left empty.

Tucker Green,the jock and secretly in love with his best friend. After things go smoothly when feelings are shared and he cares so much betrayel happens and his life he knew and the girl he loves are gone.

This story is all about closure and a definite second chance when it shouldn't have been a factor but ultimately ended two lives. What do you do when someone lies to you for years? Can you forgive easily or do you hang onto it and hate the other person? What if you love that person, yeah then it isn't so easy.

Tuck and Carl's relationship is so fun and playful at the beginning but then life happens and everything is aired out, almost everything. Carl lives constantly with the pain of losing the boy she loves with her entire being but hates her now. Losing two people who she loved dearly is enough to shatter her completely but somehow she holds true and pushes through it and continues living life. Tucker hates her. He despises her and all because of something that she didn't do herself but then again she did do, she lied. Despite his feelings for her he can't let her go, he just can't. Losing two people he loved without a doubt left him in a state of hurt and doubting everything she has to say or how she acts.

I truly loved this book. This was my first read by this author but it won't be my last. I love a second chance book but this also had more curves to it than I expected and it worked out. I truly can't wait to read more from Danielle in the future.
