This book contained two short novellas
Hero In Disguise
This story pulled me in from the first paragraph. I felt like I was dropped into a scene from Deliverance. You can tell from the first moment that this is getting dark. Kidnapped and being prepared for breeding, Jessa knows that she is in trouble. Claimed by one of the alpha males ends up being her saving grace.
Pallid Slave
Having lost so much in the war Truth is now a slave being prepared to be transported to her new area. Transported by two twins that will be spending plenty of time with her on the journey to her new home.
I will say that there were some steamy, panty melting sex scenes in these two stories. I did like the chararacters but felt the stories were just a little two short some things were lacking and left me wanting to know more. The second story had me feeling that I was being dropped into the middle of the story and I did not fully understand the world and war that was discussed. The writing style was good and drew you in.
