About A Thousand Letters:

Sometimes your life is split by a single decision.

I’ve spent every day of the last seven years regretting mine: he left, and I didn’t follow. A thousand letters went unanswered, my words like petals in the wind, spinning away into nothing, taking me with them.

But now he’s back.

I barely recognize the man he’s become, but I can still see a glimmer of the boy who asked me to be his forever, the boy I walked away from when I was young and afraid.

Maybe if he’d come home under better circumstances, he could speak to me without anger in his voice. Maybe if I’d said yes all those years ago, he’d look at me without the weight of rejection in his eyes. Maybe if things were different, we would have had a chance.

One regretted decision sent him away. One painful journey bought him back to me. I only wish I could keep him.

REVIEW:

I was so lucky to receive Staci Hart new book A Thousand Letters. I am giving this novel 5 stars because these two characters were just so real the author did a wonderful job making you feel their sadness and their happiness. This was my first time reading a book from this writer, and I have to say she did amazing capturing such raw emotion in Elliot and Wade roller-coaster of a relationship. In the beginning they were a perfect couple who adored each other, but things change when Wade had to leave for the army. They both knew they had to say goodbye to each other even though they didn't want to. And because of that decision they both regretted it because it changed them they always felt like there was a piece of them missing. But with a sad turn of event they come back into each others life. Unfortunately somebody they love and admired had to die just to bring them together. And even though its sad at least they can lean on one another to help them though this horrible time. Elliot is a beautiful loving woman she strong because she knows she has to be for her loves ones even though their our times she feels like breaking down. What I loved about her character is that no matter what she stays true to herself. This is a heartbreaking story but its also a loving one. Its one of those books where it takes you on this emotional ride but in the end you wouldn't change a thing because you finally see why they went through so many obstacles they went through them to get to a place they have always dreamed of a place where they both are finally together. If you have not read this story you should check it out you won't regret it.

About Staci Hart:

Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life: a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can't forget that. She's also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She's been a wife, even though she's certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She's also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she's been drinking whiskey. Her favorite word starts with f and ends with k.

From roots in Houston, to a seven year stint in Southern California, Staci and her family ended up settling somewhere in between and equally north, in Denver. They are new enough that snow is still magical. When she's not writing, she's sleeping, cleaning, or designing graphics.
