Welcome back to the world of the HotHoles. Dean dated Millie in book one, Vicious. But in reality he always had eyes for her younger sister. Eleven years later it is his chance to show her they are right for each other. Dean is a foul mouthed, drinking, smoking and one nighter alpha male that you will fall in love with. Rosie is a strong willed girl who is done with the pity. She just wants to live her life. You will see all the characters from Vicious in this book.
I went into this story thinking it will be about two people who dance around each other and then get together and have steamy sex. It was ohhh so much more. Dean has a secret in his life that is dictating how he lives his life. I thought I had if figured out and Ms. Shen threw me for a loop and I was way off. Just when you thought the twists couldn't get any more surprising she pulls out the mother of all twists. Rosie is sick and throughout the story you will worry about her. At the end I was reading with baited breath because I thought it was not going to end well.
Kudos to Ms. Shen for writing a story that is tumultuous, full of angst, steamy and emotional.
