The Mafia And His Angel by Lylah James was gifted to me in an ARC in exchanged for an honest review. I am giving this book 5 stars because this book captured me right from the start never once was this book boring. I felt like every little detail belong in the book that's what I loved the most is how the writer did not once drag on with Ayla and Alessio story. This book started off intense but it helped you understand these characters better which the author did a wonderful job with explaining why they are the way they are because they both have been through so much, and have lost so much. Even though this story is a love story I feel like it's about so much more, and it involved people that have so much to do with crafting their love story together. This is not just a simple love story they don't just meet and fall in love and it's not an arrange marriage no they meet in unlikely circumstances. But what they both know is that they have this pull to each other that they know they belong together. The only problem that stands in each othe way is them, lies, and their family. They both have had hard lives and even though they have found each other things just get worse because they are supposed to be enemies not lovers. And the question is will they let the past and their families stand in their way of being together. This couple goes through so much and their story has just begun which I so cannot wait to continue on this journey with them. But so far Lylah James has done an amazing job with this book she knows what readers want and how to get them enthralled in her story. To really understand this story you have to read it yourself to get the full experience because once you do believe me you will get lost in this book you will not want to put it down.
