Cuffed is extraordinary! K. Bromberg has written an exceptional story about childhood best friends finding each other again. The depth of the characters is guaranteed to find a place in your heart. In usual Bromberg fashion she creates a family you want to be a part of and find out more of their stories.
I loved the humor and history between Emerson and Grant. My eagerness to find out exactly what happened between these two as children was woven in perfectly in to the story. The way these two works at getting back to being friends is completely relatable and the attraction they are fighting had me cheering for them. There is also so much more now that they are each going through in their lives. Emerson is ready to bring a skydiving business back to life but hits a wall that she didn't see coming. We witness Grant being a hero and protector as he tries to save all those around him.
I adored every single page of this story. I laughed out loud at the way Em and Grant fought tooth and nail to break each other’s walls and I cried uncontrollably with the sadness my heart felt for our couple. The anger Emerson must push down and the guilt Grant lives with shows how much these two can’t let go regardless of the years that have passed.
K. Bromberg brought the sexual tension to the forefront between Emerson and Grant. Of course, you knew there would be, sexy hero police officer – just look at that cover.
Cuffed is told in dual points of view and I love that we know what these two are thinking. I am already anxiously awaiting more from this Everyday Heroes series.
